Puebla is situated in the very center of the principal route between Veracruz and Mexico City. As such Puebla was on the main road of the empire and the principal trade route of the baroque era, a path uniting the two fascinating hemispheres and cultures of Asia and Europe.

The location of the city of Puebla was said to be chosen by the angels and its regional dishes are often thought of as heaven sent as well.


In Puebla there are two volcanoes, the Popocatépetl and the Iztaccíhuatl. Their love legend comes form the prehispanic epoque and tells that Iztaccíhuatl, the daughter of a Poblano man fell in love with Popocatépetl, a brave warrior. The Poblano man told him that if he wanted to marry his daughter, before he had to beat the city's enemies chief. After many years Popocatépetl came back as a victorius heroe, but to find aout that Iztaccíhuatl have died several years ago.

In desperation and trying to honoer her memory for centuries to come Popocatépetl and 20 thousands of his men constructed a hill. On its top layed her down, and he remained there watching her with a lited torch.

 

Since then Iztaccíhuatl is known as "la mujer blanca" (the white woman), and Popocatépetl as "la montan~a que humea" (the mountain that smokes).

we enjoy preparing food and receiving people as if they are our guests coming to our home. We have been doing this for more than 10 years, and we plan to continue doing it for the rest of our lives.

Our purpose is to prepare you the best "Comida Poblana" and "Margarita de verdad", and to welcome you as a guest and a good friend.

We believe it is an important part of life.

 


Our Food
Our pupose is to let you try the typical Comida Poblana, from the place where we grew up, Puebla. It's not only rich in blends of flavors, balanced and surprising to taste, "it does have something special" that people recognize but can't describe. We hear it over and over. We know some of it reasons, the freshness and selection of all ingredients, with a meticulous preparation that sometimes takes a long time, and only real care can provide it.


We invite you first to discover our dishes, an we believe that as so many do, you will come again and again to keep discovering and enjoying the special history, legacy and preparation of our food from Puebla.


Our People


We find and attract great people to work with, many of them started with us 11 years ago, we learn, create dishes, work hard, have fun doing so and none of us have any plans to do it differently. One of our biggest satisfactions is to hear comments from customers as how nice, warm and professional they are. They will make you feel special, you will have a special moment and attention, and you will leave wondering about that sensation that it was not only the food and drinks that pleased you so much.

They deserve the biggest recognition and merit, they make Palo Alto Sol (and out sister Restaurant ViVe SoL...) what it is, they provide the special ingredient that our food have, and you will notice it. You will leave wondering about that extra ingredient...
